Day/Evening: 40 hours per week. A combination of two 12 and two 8 hour shifts. Must be able to work the following 7AM – 7PM, 7AM – 3PM, 3PM – 11PM. Rotating weekends and holidays required.

 

 SUMMARY

Function: Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse.

Scope: Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.

Essential Job Functions:

·      Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.

·      Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.

·      Updates and retrieves patient information.

·      Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.

·      Acts as part of an assigned care team.

·      Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION

Received: Directly from a registered nurse.

Given: None.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Education Preferred: None.

Experience Required: None

Experience Preferred: Current or recent patient care experience in a hospital setting, preferably in an emergency room/department.

Licensure/Certification Required: None.

Licensure/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Other Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Preferred: One year of patient care experience (current or recent) in a hospital setting.

License/Certification Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). 

Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
