Summary
The Information Services Manager (Facilities Application Support) provides strategic and operational leadership for the application portfolio supporting Facilities Management and related operational functions. This role ensures the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical systems such as IBM Maximo, Archibus, Oracle Unifier, and other operational and regulatory platforms. The Manager leads a team responsible for application support and enhancement, working within ITSM/ITIL processes and partnering closely with Facilities leadership, Clinical Engineering, Information Services, and external vendors.
Major Work Activities
Leadership & Application Portfolio Management
- Provide leadership and oversight for the application portfolio supporting Facilities, Engineering, EHS, Capital Projects, Space Management, Utilities, and related operational teams.
- Ensure application stability, performance, and continuous improvement across IWMS and ancillary systems.
- Oversee operational support and project‑based initiatives across complex Facilities‑related technology platforms.
ITSM‑Aligned Service Delivery
- Lead a team responsible for functional application support and enhancement within an ITSM framework.
- Apply ITIL‑aligned practices for incident, request, change, and release management.
- Ensure consistent, high‑quality service using enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Partner with Facilities leadership, Medical Device and Clinical Engineering teams, and Information Services to understand business needs.
- Translate operational requirements into sustainable, scalable technology solutions.
- Collaborate with external vendors to manage contracts, support, and delivery of enhancements.
Operational Ownership
- Provide direction, coaching, and prioritization for staff supporting Facilities applications.
- Balance operational needs with modernization efforts to ensure system reliability and future readiness.
- Oversee production support, issue resolution, and root‑cause analysis for mission‑critical systems.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Drive improvements in service delivery, system performance, and team processes.
- Support technology governance, compliance, and alignment with institutional standards.
- Ensure documentation, release readiness, and lifecycle management for all supported systems.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support Facilities Application Support and Enterprise Support Systems.
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred: Master's Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 7 years In information technology services, to include two years supervisory/management experience.
- May substitute required degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
- Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Preferred: Healthcare experience prefer, strong background supporting facilities, Operations or Asset Management technologies in a complex enterprise environment, success leading application support teams with focus on service delivery, budget/finance experience, contract management, Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) experience, ServiceNow.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
