Education
Required: Bachelor's degree.
Experience
Required: Two years business experience to include administration, data analysis or accounting. May substitute required experience with additional years of education on a one to one year basis.
Preferred:
Administrative/business experience in an academic medical center research setting Familiar with components of grant applications Familiar with NIH and CPRIT guidelines Experience with contract analysis – terms and conditions, budgets Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines Effective written and oral communication skills (e.g. ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner) Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills (e.g. ability to work with personnel at all levels to gather information and communicate compliance requirements) Ability to read and accurately interpret sponsored programs policies, procedures, federal regulations and guidelines (such as contract and notice of award documents) Experience using financial accounting systems or fund accounting systems
