Utility Outage Coordinator
Work Schedule: 7am-3:30pm with a 30 minute lunch
SUMMARY
To communicate the need for utility outages across the division while collaborating with key stakeholders and Project Management teams.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Coordination of Utility Outages while using collaboration across the division
Thoroughly evaluate all outage requests and outage meeting communications and identify the need for work notifications due to possible effects to their area so that our key stakeholders have say as to when the work can be performed in their area. Communication in processing outage requests: Work with assigned business unit management, supervision, craftsmen, clients and project managers to communicate all phases of outages throughout multiple crafts until completion of outage. Communicate in a professional manner all of the requested information required per the service agreements to get the outage completed in a timely manner. Support system updates: Update customer contact list, FON Groups (Outlook) FON Groups Outage Producation Data Base.
Assigned area
Business unit outage meetings: Outage coordinators must attend weekly meetings and address all phases of each outage in their assigned business unit. Employee should also update the outage production database Calendar before the business units weekly meeting.
Process Improvement
Process improvement: Outage coordinators are required to involve their, Sr. Outage Coordinators & supervisor of any complex problem so that the team can breakdown the obstacle and identify a future solution and process improvement.
Outage Coordination

Reduce utility outage impacts for the division
Evaluate each outage request and explore the possibility of combining existing outages in the database as well as foreseen O&M maintenance opportunities to lessen the impact to our institution and our key stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of construction field experience or facilities operations and maintenance experience.
This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening.
