Supervisor, Charge Capture - Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine - Clinical
The Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine division is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art anesthesia care, pain management, and multidisciplinary care for cancer patients in the intensive care unit. Our teams are made up of highly dedicated and talented physicians, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), mid-level providers, nurses, researchers, and administrative staff.
Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine – Clinical is seeking a Supervisor, Charge Capture. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field and have five years of charge capture experience, including two years in a lead or supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will also have coding experience, which is essential for success in this role.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, located onsite
Annual salary range: minimum $67,000 – midpoint $83,500 – maximum $100,000

KEY FUNCTIONS
Conducts regularly scheduled employee meetings (individually and/or team meetings) to discuss work assignments and issues, progress on projects, etc.
Conducts regular meetings with Clinical Coding Ops to maintain review and resolve charge capture issues for all three departments.
Oversees the scheduling and coordination of assigned staff
Responsible for training and coordination for all new team members
Completes Monthly reports for Administrative Director capturing case totals and PB batch release
Oversees all Epic related issues for immediate and appropriate processing for all three departments
Trains all incoming fellows on an annual basis
Oversees all documentation done by our fellows for continued education and training.
Provides monthly report to the Administrative Director on all charge capture issues
Provides monthly report to Medical Director of the Pain Fellowship for evaluation of fellows
Identifies and advises Administrative Director of non-compliant events/behaviors.
Conducts review of suspense charge reports and research errors
Conducts review of completed billing days to ensure all charges are captured and records are complete
Conducts comprehensive audit of remaining OR records
Maintain page list, daily status report and epidural report
Reviews all charges (inpatient, outpatient, consults, OR Charges) entered into One Connect/EPIC by department providers, (physicians and APP’s) on a daily basis and conducts charge reconciliations
Verifies that diagnosis and procedure codes are accurate and complete
Advises physicians and APP’s regarding appropriate coding, related processes and CPT codes
Conducts comprehensive audit of all OR and Offsite anesthesia records as needed
Provide coverage to Offsite and OR position to avoid delays in technical and professional charge capture
Assist with downtime procedures
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Preferred: None
EXPERIENCE
Required: Five years of charge capture experience to include two years of lead/supervisory experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis.
