Supervise and providing maintenance / technical support for analysis, maintenance, calibration, installation and upgrades on patient medical / other electronic equipment within the institution, as assigned.  Coordinates spare parts for the medical equipment supported as needed.  Responsible for supervising and planning the daily activities of assigned technicians which includes enforcing policies, providing orientation / guidance / instruction, corrective action, employee evaluations and makes adjustments to meet operational needs of the institution and department.

Demonstrated Technical Competency and Training  Demonstrates solid technical support in analyzing / calibrating / installing electronic / electromechanical / mechanical / pneumatic general patient care medical equipment.
- Conducts project management which is consistent with knowledge and experience.
- CS Support, deliver products and services no later than the Project Due date.
- Provide equipment pre-purchase / service contract evaluations and vendor coordination to obtain completion of equipment support activity for cost effective support.
- Provide Nursing In services on equipment operational issues to reduce Operator Errors while improving patient quality of care
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory guidelines and hospital Policy & Procedures that govern Biomed equipment support operations.
- Demonstrating quick adaptation to new technologies appropriately.
- Utilization of software skills meets the needs of equipment support
- Incident Investigation reports and any remedial action taken to reduce/eliminate future re-counts.

Customer Communication related to Equipment support activities and status   
- Communicate with clients to obtain access to equipment, resolve equipment issues and minimize equipment downtime resulting in safe / operational equipment to our patients and operators
- Open and constructive lines of communications with customers will be demonstrated by technician throughout repairs communicating repair status in conversations and e-mails, in a financially responsible manner.

Other duties as assigned

Education Required: Associate’s degree in Biomedical Technology (BMET) or Electronic Engineering.  

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Level Degree

Experience Required: Five years of biomedical technology experience, to include one year of supervisory or lead experience.  May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one-to-one basis. With preferred degree, three years of experience required. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. 

Preferred Experience: Seven years of BMET, military BMET or hospital manufacturer field service experience and three years of supervisory experience
