Sterile Processing Technician
EDUCATION
• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Completion of a Sterile Processing Program
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Required: One year hospital-based sterile processing experience or with preferred education, no experience required
• Preferred: Two years hospital-based sterile processing experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Preferred: CRCST – Certified and Registered Central Service Technician from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician from the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. upon hire or CST – Certified Surgical Technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire
