REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: Masters degree in one of the natural, computational sciences or related field.
Preferred Education: PhD in one of the natural, computational sciences or related field.

Experience Required: Four years of research experience in machine learning, data science. With PhD, no experience required.
Preferred Experience: Strong understanding of cancer biology, including molecular and genetic mechanisms of cancer progression, metastasis, and treatment resistance. Familiarity with the landscape of cancer types, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets, particularly in personalized medicine. Ability to collaborate effectively with oncologists, biologists, and clinical researchers to translate machine learning insights into actionable therapeutic strategies. Proven experience in securing external research funding, including writing successful grant proposals for federal agencies (e.g., NIH, NSF) and private foundations. Ability to manage research budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Experience in developing strategic research plans that align with funding opportunities and organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with funding bodies, collaborators, and industry partners to support long-term research initiatives. Understanding of the ethical implications of AI in healthcare, including issues related to data privacy, informed consent, and algorithmic fairness. Familiarity with regulatory standards and guidelines for the development and deployment of AI/ML tools in clinical settings, such as FDA and EMA regulations.
