Sr Maintenance Technician/Electrical - Parking & Transportation
Ideal candidate will have the following:
- Five years of experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation, or construction)...
- Five years of experience in mechanical repair, with some experience maintaining parking systems preferred...
- A Journeyman Electrician License, State of Texas preferred...
- Service Driver experience a plus...
- They will need a valid Texas Drivers License and be eligible to drive an institutional vehicle...
The work schedule will either be 6am-3pm or 7am-4pm Monday to Friday.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair or replace parts that are defective on gate operators, ticket dispensers, payment machines, card access systems, intercoms, lighting, and cctv systems.
- Repair or replace parts in light fixtures with varying voltages in and on the exterior of the garages and surface lots.
- Submits maintenance trouble tickets with applicable agencies (T2, etc.)
- Monitors contractors performing work for Parking Operations to ensure the institution receives fair value for its expense.
- Performs all work within established applicable safety rules, regulations and guidelines.
- Monitors each parking location daily, checking for operational functionality of all equipment and lighting; checks general appearance and calls for custiodal assistance as required.
- Inspects all equipment assets for proper functionality.
- Ensures preventative maintenance checks are accomplished in a timely manner.
- Inspects the work of contractors to ensure work was accomplished properly and in accordance with the scope of work.
Other duties as assigned
