Sr Mail Clerk
Work Schedule: 7:30am-4pm
Ideal candidate will have the following:
1. Two to three years of experience in the Mail Industry.
2. Proficient at Excel, Word and Outlook.
3. Great Customer Service Skills.
4. Great Communication Skills.
5. Able to work independently.
6. Answer phones and assist patients and customers as needed.
7. Good driving record.
8. Cash handling a plus but not required.
SUMMARY
Assist Team Lead / Supervisor with maintaining mail standards, effective communication, team training requirements and customer service.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Daily Operations Perform tasks assigned in timely and accurate manner. Proficient in all aspects of Mail Services. (Processing, Sorting, Delivery and Transporting Mail). Assist with the organizing of all daily actives. Work with customers and team members in all problem solving opportunities that pertains to Mail Services. Provides appropriate coverage when needed. Assist Team Lead as needed.
Administrative Functions Collect and submit statistical information on a timely manner being daily, weekly or monthly (i.e. Daily Variance Report, Inbound Report, End of Month Reports)
Training Stay abreast of Institutional Policies and USPS Regulations. Assist in training of new hires and cross training as needed. Help ensure that mandatory and/or other types of training re completed within the time frame allowed if not earlier.
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of office and clerical experience in a mailroom environment. Class A, B or C driver's license and good driving record as verified with the Department of Transportation.
