Simulation Educator - TIPS Education Center

Education
Required: One of the following: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing; Master's Degree as defined by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) or Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners (TSBPAE) as required for Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant; Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy; Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; or, doctoral degree in a clinical health sciences profession. 

Experience
Required: Five years of clinical experience to include two years teaching experience.

Preferred: Three to five years of clinical experience in a surgical care, emergency, or urgent care setting to include experience with invasive procedures and the use of ultrasound for invasive procedures and one year creating and delivering simulation-based learning and instruction in a large academic healthcare environment.

Certification/Licensure
Required: One of the following: * Written authorization from the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) or Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners (TSBPAE) to function as a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant. Related authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population.; * Texas State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license; or * Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC and Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board (TMB) and; Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification..
