Senior Vice President, Cancer Network Operations
EDUCATION
Required: MD
Preferred: MD with an MBA and/or MHA
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Preferred: Board certification in oncologic specialty
EXPERIENCE
Required:
· Ten (10) years of clinical experience in a complex multi-service healthcare delivery system;
· Leadership experience in the hospital or clinic setting;
· The position requires clinical skills in a cancer-related discipline, and administrative, analytical, and interpersonal skills to guide the development of projects consistent with the institutional mission and objectives;
· demonstration of successful communication and negotiations skills;
· clinical expertise;
· background in clinical and translational research;
· knowledge of, and success in academic engagements at local, state, national, and international levels;
· extensive travel to sites outside of the Houston and continental US areas and, upon return, analysis and presentation of information;
· demonstration of successful work as a team member and team leader;
· strong cross-cultural sensitivity;
· strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization;
· extensive network;
· strong sense of professionalism and integrity.
