As a Senior Public Safety Officer, you’ll help create a secure and welcoming environment that allows our patients, families, and staff to focus on what matters most-care, healing, and discovery. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Patrol property by vehicle and on foot, ensuring a safe and secure environment 

• Manage door screenings, access control, and lock/unlock procedures 

• Support morgue duty, package delivery, animal deliveries, parking, traffic control, and response calls 

• Prepare accurate incident and departmental reports 

• Operate and monitor security technology systems, reporting issues as needed 

• Assist motorists, provide escort services, and relieve dispatchers when required 

• Lead, train, mentor, and evaluate Public Safety Officers on your team

SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT 


This is a full-time position. In this role, you are considered ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL. Officers work within a healthcare campus environment and may rotate across posts. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Associate’s Degree

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Minimum 2 years as a Public Safety Officer or related experience

 

 

LICENSES:

Required: Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license.

 

 

CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred: International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification

 

 

OTHER:

Required: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
