Senior Public Safety Officer
The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.
This position provides team leadership, training (to include preparation of lesson plans, instruction, and distribution of educational materials for both entry and in service sessions) and ongoing professional development of Public Safety Officers.
Works closely with Public Safety Supervisor to accomplish department objectives. In the absence of the Public Safety Supervisor, may be required to perform Public Safety Supervisor duties. Failure to properly staff this position puts undue hardship on the USO team to include unnecessary overtime.
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required: Two years experience as a Public Safety Officer or related experience. With preferred education, no experience required. Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license.
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
