The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Location: Woodlands

The primary purpose of the Senior Public Safety Officer position is to screen students, patients, staff, faculty and visitors entering the facilities of the University for proper identification. 

Through observation and patrol, safeguard institutional property, identify security issues and enforce institutional rules and regulations. Responsible for the indoctrination, training, and supervision of a Public Safety Officer force.

Monitor, operate and report issues identified with security technology, software and devices.

Develop, mentor and evaluate personnel to meet professional standards and customer expectations.

Act as team leaders and works closely with Supervisor, Public Safety to accomplish department objectives.

In the absence of the Public Safety Supervisor may be required to perform Public Safety Supervisor duties. In emergencies, facilitate the orderly evacuation of the buildings and structures.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience Required: Two years experience as a Public Safety Officer or related experience. With preferred education, no experience required. Valid Class A, B or C Texas driver's license.
