Senior Police Telecommunicator
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Associate's degree.
Experience
Required: Two years of experience in emergency management or public safety communications.
Preferred: Two years of experience as a public safety telecommunicator.
License/Certification
Required: Basic Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCOLE) Telecommunications Operator certification.
Preferred: Intermediate Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCOLE) Telecommunications Operator certification.
Other Requirements
Must successfully complete the Public Safety Telecommunication (PST) Test obtained from the International Personnel Management Association and administered by the Police Department.
