Respiratory Therapist - Part Time
Education
Required: Graduation from an AMA Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Education (JRCRTE) or Committee on Accreditation of Respiratory Care Programs (COARC) approved Respiratory Care Program
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or the equivalent from an accredited respiratory care program
Experience
Required: None
Preferred: Three years experience in Respiratory Care
License/Certification
Required: All of the following
- Certification or registered examination(RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification (must be obtained within twelve months of employment)
Preferred:
· Certification in Pulmonary Function Testing (CPFT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
· Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist ( RPFT)
· Perinatal Pediatric Specialist (PED) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an approved and accredited program or university. One year of registered respiratory therapist experience.
