Research Assistant II - Hematopathology
The ideal candidate will have a PhD, PCR & DNA sequencing experience
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Research Laboratory Functions
Perform routine flow cytometry experiments to include:
· Antibody testing
· Research sample collection
· Research sample preparation
· Research sample processing
· Flow cytometry data analysis using software
· Maintenance of general lab equipment.
· Prepares the lab for Lab inspections.
· Prepares common laboratory stock chemicals; Submits all orders for the lab and maintains supplies inventory.
· Monitors sufficient supply of liquid nitrogen to maintain the best temperature for frozen samples.
Record Keeping
· Record keeping of all lab work including experiments performed and database of samples received & processed in the ELN system.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- Required: Bachelor's Degree Basic Science.
- Preferred: Master's Degree Basic Science, PhD or Medical Degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 1 year Scientific or experimental research work experience or n
o experience required with preferred degree.
