Required: Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Preferred:  None
 
Certification
Required: None
Preferred: Patient access with coding or financial experience.  Certified Professional Coder (CPC) by the AAPC (American Academy of Professional Coders) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based by AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association)
Experience
Required: Four years professional fee billing experience in healthcare, insurance or related field.  May substitute required education degree with additional years of professional billing experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred:  Healthcare coding and billing with physician’s office or hospital facility
