Program Coordinator Health Education and Community Outreach
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in Public Health or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Three years project/program coordination experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, one year of required experience.
Preferred: The ability to use good interpersonal, customer service, and critical thinking skills, work independently, and handle complex issues. Experience in health education or health promotion program planning, management, and evaluation; community outreach; communications. Experience in designing and developing health education and/or health promotion programs, including the application of behavioral science theory and methods. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Ability to work in a challenging environment, under pressure. Willing and able to work extended and flexible hours, function under demanding circumstances. Computer software skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. The ability to travel in personal vehicle to community centers. Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
