Principal Research Scientist
The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.
Key Functions
Manages research staff.
Determines specific goals or objectives to be obtained, evaluates research data and develops and revises
techniques or approaches to work.
Responsible for laboratory equipment and implementing safety procedures.
Presents findings of research projects and prepares scientific documents for publication.
May apply for grants with institutional approval.
Education Required: PhD in one of the natural sciences or related field or Medical degree.
Experience Required: Five years of experience in experimental or scientific work.
Experience Preferred: Laboratory management experience in the specialty of colon and rectal cancer.
