Per Diem Mammography Technologist
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Graduation from an approved school Radiologic Technology and completion of 40 hours continuing education in Mammography. Meet all MQSA/FDA requirements for a mammography technologist. Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Registry in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Certification by the Texas Department of Health (CMT). Must meet requirements and take mammography registry (ARRT) within 2 years of employment/transfer if not holding Advanced Registry in Mammography.
License/Certification
Required: All of the following:
Registry in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ((ARRT) (R))'
Certification by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT)' Advanced Registry in Mammography ((ARRT) (M))'
Experience
Required:
One year of MRI, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, PET or Nuclear Medicine experience or two years of Radiologic Technologist experience. With preferred education no experience required.
Preferred: Two or more years of experience as a qualified Mammography Technologist. Holds Advanced Registry in Mammography.
