Patient Services Coordinator – Endoscopy Center
Location: MD Anderson Cancer Center
Shift: Day Shift (possible Saturdays and front desk on-call)
Summary:
The Patient Services Coordinator in the Endoscopy Center supports scheduling, patient coordination, and communications to ensure timely access to care. You will manage physician block scheduling, assist patients with procedure preparation, and maintain accurate documentation — all while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and modify endoscopy procedures using OneConnect OpTime, coordinating with physicians, clinical teams, and patients.

Manage block schedules, physician availability, and procedure room assignments to optimize utilization.

Respond promptly to patient inquiries via myMDAnderson, phone, and email; assist with pre-procedure communication.

Review, update, and verify patient demographic and financial information.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support pre- and post-procedure patient needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Must-Haves: Excellent customer service, flexibility, positive team player attitude, strong oral/written communication.

Nice-to-Haves: Bilingual (Spanish preferred); prior healthcare scheduling or patient services experience.

Preferred Background: Familiarity with endoscopy, PACU, ICU, or fast-paced clinical environments.

Note: Occasional Saturday shifts and front desk on-call responsibilities are required based on department needs.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Three years of relevant work experience. May substitute additional education for required experience on a one to one basis.
Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
