Patient Care Technician – Dialysis 
Join the Inpatient Dialysis team at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where specialized kidney care meets world-class cancer treatment. Our department provides compassionate, expert dialysis services to patients facing complex medical challenges, ensuring they receive the highest quality care during their cancer journey. The Inpatient Dialysis team plays a critical role in that mission, delivering the kidney care patients need as they undergo cancer treatment. 

 Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of recent experience working in a Hemodialysis setting as a certified Hemodialysis technician.

Hourly Breakdown: Minimum - $19.27 - Midpoint - $22.84 - Maximum - $27.40

Working Hours: This is a full-time onsite role (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday with weekend coverage)

Job Specific Competencies:
The Dialysis Patient Care Technician provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.   
•    Assists in providing dialysis services to patients facing complex medical challenges. 
•    Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs.  
•    Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs.  
•    Updates and retrieves patient information.  
•    Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner.  Acts as part of an assigned care team.

Other duties as assigned. 
 

 

EDUCATION

  • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Required: None
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in a Hemodialysis setting.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Highly Preferred: CHT – Certified Hemodialysis Technician

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
