Open Rank, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA) - Interventional Radiology

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

Required:

Medical degree

Board certification by the American Board of Radiology within five years of hire

CAQ certified (or eligible if a recent graduate) in Interventional Radiology

Licensure by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners or Faculty Temporary License

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

EXPERIENCE:
Required:

-         At least 2 years’ experience as Instructor or 5 years post degree with any combination of time as a

o   Clinician

o   Clinical scientist or

o    GME trainee (except specialties with shorter residences or fellowships)

-         Post residency training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

-         Has taken steps to initiate education activities including mentoring

-         Shows evidence of excellence in clinical care and performance

-         Shows evidence of ability to develop an essential role in patient care services

-         Demonstrates potential for institutional service

-         Shows promise for effective participation in teams as appropriate for this role
