In this role, you will also support digital pathology workflows by scanning new cases into laboratory imaging systems and attaching files to patient records to ensure proper documentation and accessibility for diagnostic review. You may assist with pediatric bone marrow procedures and participate in the gross examination and handling of bone marrow specimens, contributing to efficient specimen processing and case preparation.
You will manage workflow effectively to meet section productivity demands, organizing and prioritizing tasks to support timely turnaround of diagnostic cases. Working independently while collaborating with laboratory colleagues, you will help maintain smooth daily operations and assist with process improvement initiatives designed to enhance laboratory efficiency and quality.
Maintaining proficiency with laboratory computer systems is essential, including accurate specimen data entry, evaluation and documentation of results, and secure storage of patient information for future access and compliance. You will also follow the section’s inventory control processes to ensure appropriate use of reagents and supplies while maintaining compliance with safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
