Medical Imaging Technologist / Clinical Research Imaging
EDUCATION
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent and
- Required: Graduation from an AMA-approved school of x-ray technology.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Science.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Required: 3 years Relevant experience including one year in the operation of relevant radiological equipment.
- Preferred: Experience gained at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, including two years in the operation of a relevant modality.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Required: CMRT - Cert Medical Radiologic Tech Texas Medical Board (TMB). Upon Hire and
- Required: ARRT - American Reg Radiologic Tchnlg Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Upon Hire or
- Required: NMTCB - Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB). Upon Hire or
- Required: RDMS - Reg Diag Medical Sonographer Registration by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Upon Hire and
- Required: RT(MRI) - Radiologic Technologist (MRI) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Upon Hire or
- Required: RT(CT) - Computed Tomography American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Upon Hire or
- Required: RT(N) - Nuclear Medicine American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Upon Hire or
- Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board in PET or CT (NMTCB- CT, PET) credentials. Upon Hire and
- Required: BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire or
- Required: CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must acquire required continuing education credits per year as dictated by the Division of Diagnostic Imaging and the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
