Mail Clerk
The Research and Administrative Facilities (RAF) department manages the operations and maintenance of research and administrative buildings, including both the Bastrop and Smithville campuses. The RAF team also includes parking and transportation, audio visual and event operations, as well as the exterior site operations, all of which support all the Houston campuses and properties.
Ideal candidate will have the following: at least six months of experience in the mail industry. Candidates must have a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required. Responsibilities include answering phones, assisting patients and customers, and supporting daily operations.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm
The salary range is $37,450 - $42,750 - $48,000

SUMMARY
Assure that all Institutional Mail is handled in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with established the USPS and MD Anderson's guidelines.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Daily Duties Perform task assigned in a timely and accurate manner. Proficient in all aspects of Mail Services. (Processing, Sorting, Delivery)
Administrative Functions Performs various office duties which include answering phones, updating daily logs, and identifying various non-familiar mailings (i.e. lookups, Business Reply, Postage Due, Patient Mail, Accountable Mail)
Problem Solving Assist with misdirect mail, internal and external customer issues and various procedural opportunities.
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Required: None
- Preferred: At least six months experience in the Mail Industry.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
