Legal Officer, Research

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Preferred Education: Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a biomedical science.

Certification: Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas, or currently licensed in another state with eligibility in the State of Texas.

Experience: Four years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, health care organization, academic medical center or related entity. Strong organization and communication skills applicable to a highly diverse environment and clientele. Familiarity with laws governing basic science, animal and human subjects and FDA-regulated research, federal grants, and research integrity.

Preferred Experience: Four to eight years of legal experience in a law firm, health care organization, academic medical center or related entity, and biomedical research experience.
