A. Participate in scientific meetings, departmental seminars and other research related activities asnecessarytopresentresultsofexperimentsandmakereadyresultsforpublicationsofmanuscript/abstracts.Inaddition,mustprepareforpublicationinpeerreviewscientificjournals.
B. Prepareandsubmitapplicationsforresearchfundingtoawidevarietyoffundingagencies.
C. Requires maintaining meticulous record of experimental data and protocols. Will use computeranalysistoprovideslidesandgraphsofdata.
D. Maintain accurate protocolsof experiments performed, includingany modifications,so theyarereproduciblebyotherinvestigators.
E. Maintain an up to date knowledgeof fundamentalconcepts by either reviews of the literature,attendanceat seminars/meetingsand/or course work.Contribute to designatedprojects byproposingpotentialinvestigatorydirectionsandalternativeinterpretationsofdata.
II.Education/Teaching– 10%
A. Participatesinthetrainingofgraduatestudentsandpost-doctoralresearchfellows.
B. Supervise and train assigned laboratory personnel in proper research procedures, data analysis,anddatacompilation.
