Institute Associate Scientist I – Medicinal Chemistry

Required: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, enzymology, pharmacology, chemistry or related field.  

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field from an accredited university.  

Experience

Required: No experience. 

Preferred: Strong grounding in organic chemistry, and practical experience in an organic chemistry lab. Demonstrate ability to synthesize diverse small molecules. Ideal candidates will have several months/years organic chemistry laboratory experience. Some understanding of the drug discovery process would be beneficial. Qualified individuals will be able to set and execute of organic reactions, as well as the purification, characterization and identification of products. Demonstrated team-worker who possesses excellent problem solving capabilities and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
