SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Project Manager, Fire & Life Safety position is to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines in the institutional environmental health and safety program. To impact Institutional construction projects, fire prevention and life safety plans.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Program Implementation – Provides professional knowledge and expertise to construction teams regarding the design and installation of Life safety systems and components

Program Support – Assists in the development of technical specifications, schematic design, and construction documents related to Life Safety systems.

Compliance – Compiles data on building inspections regarding deficiencies and areas requiring improvement

Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Fire Safety, Architectural Engineering or related field. Three years of project management/construction management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. Class A, B or C valid Texas driver's license depending on the type and weight of vehicle to be operated and number of passengers to be carried and good driving record as verified with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
