Fire Safety Project Manager

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Fire Safety, Architectural Engineering or related field.

Experience Required: Three years of project management/construction management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.

License Required: Class A, B or C valid Texas driver's license depending on the type and weight of vehicle to be operated and number of passengers to be carried and good driving record as verified with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

Preferred Licensure/Certification:

One of the following:
Certified Fire Protections Specialist (CFPS) by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) .
Certified Fire Inspector (CFI) by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Certified Fire Plan Examiner (CFPE) by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
Licensed Architect by Texas Board of Architectural Examiners (TBAE).
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers (TBPE).
Level II in Fire Protection Engineering Technology, Fire Alarm Systems by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET).
Fire Alarm Planning Superintendent (FAPS) by the Texas State Fire Marshal's Office.
Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) by the Texas State Fire Marshal's Office.
Fire Sprinkler Responsible Managing Employee - General Inspector (RME-GI) license by the  Texas State Fire Marshal's Office. "
