REQUIREMENTS

 

Education
Required: PhD, MD or equivalent degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology or related field.

 

 

Experience
Required: 9 years of relevant research and management experience.


Preferred: 7 years of relevant research and management experience beyond post-doctoral research maintaining hands-on experience.

•    Strong history of leading and developing high functioning drug discovery biology teams, with experience advancing small molecule assets through discovery into clinical development.
•    Experienced manager of people and projects including demonstrated ability to grow junior scientists and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
•    Extensive knowledge in cancer biology, mechanistic pharmacology of diverse oncology therapeutics, and deep understanding of pharmacologic audit trail and preclinical PK/PD/efficacy relationships as they relate to small molecule drug discovery in oncology.
•    Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
•    Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, as well as being able to see big picture.
•    Evidence of independent thinking and leadership skills are vital. Ability to work well under pressure and drive projects that impact critical timelines is essential
•    Leader and a team player with a great sense of urgency and accountability.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence teams to get things done without formal authority. 
•    Proven ability to build productive internal/external working relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders, and ability to influence to ensure team performance.
•    Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Able to effectively present scientific data and concepts to international standard.
•    Proven track record of good decision making and exercising sound judgment.
•    Self-directed, process oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
