The Diagnostic Imaging Technical Educator is responsible for teaching, orienting, and coaching employees across various imaging modalities, assessing clinical competencies, and serving as a consultant for imaging practice and performance.

Work Style
•    Full-time, primarily Mon–Fri 8:00–5:00, with flexibility for occasional varied shifts/days based on business needs
•    Travel across the Houston-area Diagnostic Imaging Centers

Key Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement individualized learning plans for new and existing staff.
•    Design and deliver educational programs using adult learning principles.
•    Assess staff competencies and identify performance gaps.
•    Mentor modality coaches and collaborate with leadership on training strategies.
•    Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.
•    Document learner progress and educational activities accurately.
•    Act as a change agent and champion for performance improvement initiatives.

Ideal Candidate
•    Extensive Mammography experience
•    ARRT in Mammography
•    Prior experience as Trainer, Preceptor, or Lead

EDUCATION

  • Required: Graduate of a Radiology Technology, Ultrasound Technology, or Nuclear Medicine Technology program. or
  • Required: Associate's Degree Applied science.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Required: 4 years Relevant clinical or research imaging experience to include two years of education or leadership experience. or
  • Required: 2 years Clinical or research imaging experience to include two years of education or leadership experience, with preferred degree.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: CMRT - Cert Medical Radiologic Tech Licensure by the Texas Medical Board (TMB). Upon Hire and
  • Required: ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Upon Hire and
  • Required: BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire
