The Division of Clinical Research provides high-quality, efficient infrastructure support for all aspects of clinical protocol research at MD Anderson. Through our offices, we are devoted to the needs and protection of all those participating in or conducting clinical research while maintaining high ethical standards and compliance with all regulatory policies. 

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the Clinical Trial Laboratories inventory management to ensure efficient handling of patient collection kits. This involves receiving, inventorying, and matching kits to patient appointments, while also coordinating arrivals with the inventory team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an inventory, warehouse, healthcare, or laboratory environment; familiarity with inventory management systems or data entry platforms; and basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Minimum $44,000.00 – Midpoint $55,000.00 – Maximum $66,000.00
Hourly Range: Minimum $21.15 – Midpoint $26.44 – Maximum $31.73
The typical work schedule is 100% onsite.
Work location: Texas Medical Center.

Responsibilities

Inventory Management
• Receive, organize, and match patient collection kits to scheduled appointments
• Conduct monthly review and disposal of expired kits to maintain accuracy and compliance
• Prepare daily shipping lists and coordinate quality control checks
• Manage kit arrivals in collaboration with the inventory team
• Maintain electronic file systems and protocol reference documents
• Coordinate outgoing materials to regulatory agencies

Laboratory Support
• Deliver lab supplies and patient collection kits to Clinical Trial Laboratories
• Respond to urgent delivery needs on an ad-hoc basis
• Maintain organization of surplus bins and supply rooms
• Order supplies to avoid workflow disruptions
• Coordinate deadlines, meetings, and tasks with team members

Administrative Support
• Communicate with investigators, reviewers, and external agencies
• Complete required forms and follow institutional, state, and federal regulations
• Answer and direct office phone calls professionally
• Notify staff of absences and arrange coverage to ensure continuity

Other Duties as Assigned
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental operations

EDUCATION
• Required: Associate's Degree Business or science-related field
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Business or science-related field

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Required: One year experience in a laboratory or materials management position. With preferred degree, no experience required
• May substitute required education degree with additional years of related experience on a one-to-one basis
• Preferred: Experience in inventory management, warehouse, healthcare, or laboratory environment; familiarity with inventory management systems or data entry platforms; and basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Preferred: CCRC - Certified Clinical Research Coordinator or CCRP - Certified Clinical Research Professional or CCRA - Cert Clin Research Assoc
