Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Pain and Palliative Care
EDUCATION:
Required: Pharm.D. degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Pharmacy Practice Residency (PGY 1) and Residency in the area of specialization (PGY 2). Experience as a clinical pharmacist in the area of specialization may substitute for the required residency on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Experience as a clinical pharmacy specialist.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Required: Eligible to receive a license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred: Board Certification in appropriate specialty area - Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires:
Working in Patient Care Unit (e.g. Nursing unit; outpatient clinic)
Exposure to human/animal blood, body fluids, or tissues
Exposure to harmful chemicals
Exposure to radiation
