Clinical Effectiveness Advanced Practice Provider Specialist

EDUCATION

• Required: Master's degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.  Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant.
• Preferred Education: Masters or Doctorate (Professional)

CERTIFICATION

• Certification: Current license and/or certification as defined by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) for an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or National Commission of Physician Assistants and Texas State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners (TSBPAE) as requied by Physician Assistant.
• Preferred Certification: Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) or certification in speciality practice area

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Required: 4 years Clinical healthcare experience as a provider.
• Preferred Experience: Additional one to two years of program or project management experience in healthcare quiality improvement, patient safety principles, and oncology care.
