QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Associate's degree.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice Management, Police Science, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or Public Health.
Experience
Required:
- Three years of experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessments and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management, security systems, or conflict resolution.
- May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience.
- With the preferred degree, one year of experience in risk evaluation and analysis, threat assessments and analysis, law enforcement, general case investigations, behavioral intervention analysis, crisis management, security systems, or conflict resolution.
Certification
Required:
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License
Preferred:
- Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) certification from the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association (NABITA)
- Certification in Crisis Intervention Negotiation
- Certified Threat Manager from the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP)
