Associate Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA), Pediatrics
This faculty member in the Division of Pediatrics will:
· Have specific clinical expertise in cellular therapies and stem cell transplantation or neuro-oncology. Other fields of interest might be considered if there is strong evidence of potential for program building.
· Lend clinical expertise and provide care and direct the management of children, adolescents, and young adults with medical conditions treatable by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or adoptive cellular therapy.
· Maintain a supportive research, teaching, and clinical practice environment for trainees and clinical team members.
This Department Pediatrics - Patient Care faculty member will have a joint appointment in the Department of Stem Cell Transplantation.
Medical Education:
· Medical degree and residency requirements as defined by the Texas Medical Board.
· Completed residency training in an approved American Residency Program or equivalent. Must be board certified or board eligible in the American Board of Pediatrics.
· Must be board certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology or foreign equivalent if applicable or obtain board certification within four years of employment. Experience:
· At least 2 years’ experience as an Instructor or 5 years post-degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist, or GME trainee.
