Education
Required: Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or nursing
Preferred: Doctoral degree
Experience
Required: Ten (10) years of experience as a transformational nurse executive leader who possesses the skills to clearly articulate a vision, be innovative, inspire others, and set high expectations for achievement; three (3) years of experience as a Chief Nursing Officer or Assistant Chief Nursing Officer in an academic hospital.
Preferred: Ten (10) years of experience as a Chief Nursing Officer in an academic hospital environment
Licensure/Certification
Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN) at time of hire; certification from a national certifying body
